Catch citation hallucinations in 2 steps: authority, then support.
Is this case real and correctly cited?
Details
Checks case citations via CourtListener, validates statutes and federal materials against Cornell LII and GovInfo, and cross-checks case name, court, and citation to flag fabricated or mismatched authorities. This step uses no AI: verifying citations against authoritative databases, not asking an AI to check another AI's output.
Does this case actually support my point?
Details
For each case verified in Step 1, compares your memo context with verbatim opinion text and flags when the cited authority does not support the proposition in your draft. AI handles this step well: reading and comparing specific passages of text is a precise, bounded task, very different from generating citations from scratch.

DOCX usually parses best. TXT, Markdown, and HTML also work.
